It all started with a vision. On August 17, 1973, Gerhard Rosenberg founded aquatherm with the goal of revolutionizing the piping market. Rosenberg wanted to develop a special piping system for hot water underfloor heating systems — a system that was durable, safe, and sustainable. He succeeded.
Initially the company had its headquarters in the garage and basement of Rosenberg’s residential building. From those humble beginnings, aquatherm has become the world’s leading manufacturer of innovative piping systems made of polypropylene for plant engineering and building services. The numerous product lines provide superior solutions in potable water applications, heating systems, fire sprinkler systems, air-conditioning and refrigeration technology, as well as in surface heating and cooling systems. The product range comprises more than 17,000 items in seven product lines. Today, the family company is managed by the second generation: brothers Christof, Dirk, and Maik Rosenberg.
aquatherm products are found in various buildings and ships all over the world. These include the Elb Philharmonics in Hamburg; the Crane Houses in Cologne; the Mall of Berlin; the European Patent Office in Den Hague; the Agbar Tower in Barcelona; various Olympic sites in Athens, Beijing, Sydney, and Vancouver; numerous top hotels and resorts, including the international chains of Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Banyan Tree and Melia; the Bluewaters Apartments in Dubai and the Dubai Frame, as well AIDA cruise ships.
