Successful re-certification

aquatherm may continue to bear the title “Family-friendly company”. The award from the districts of Olpe and Siegen-Wittgenstein, which the world’s leading manufacturer of polypropylene piping systems headquartered in Attendorn received for the first time two years ago, has thus been confirmed for another three years.

In the course of a re-certification process lasting around three months, which was accompanied by the Competence Centre for Women and Work Siegen-Wittgenstein/Olpe, Competentia for short, the company demonstrated its particular commitment to the compatibility of private and professional life. The jury, consisting of representatives from various employer and employee associations as well as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Regional Agency, evaluated the implementation of the target agreements, recommendations and requirements set out in the initial certification in 2019 as well as the plans for the future.

“As a committed and avowed second-generation family business, we are very aware of the continuing importance of balancing family and career – especially in times like these,” explains Christof Rosenberg, managing director of aquatherm together with his brothers Dirk and Maik. “In addition, we are always looking for new impulses in order to permanently meet the responsibility for our employees and their families in an ever-evolving working world and to be an attractive employer for old as well as new employees.”

aquatherm offers different family-friendly consulting and services. For example, working time models tailored to the individual employee are just as possible as flexible working hours or subsidies for childcare. A corporate culture based on closeness, appreciation and a sense of responsibility, which decisively shapes the family orientation, is also lived out in a “you culture” throughout the company.

All talks, presentations and workshops of the re-certification took place online due to corona – as well as the certificate award ceremony, where the district administrators Theo Melcher (district Olpe) and Andreas Müller (district Siegen-Wittgenstein) congratulated. Currently aquatherm is one of a total of nine companies in the Olpe district that can call itself “family-friendly”.
