Radeberg plant management

Michael – Plant Manager Radeberg

I was already very familiar with the reliable, long-lasting and sustainable products of the family-owned company aquatherm when I changed from wholesale to industry on 1 June 2005 and started working for aquatherm as plant manager for the Radeberg site. The two-month training programme at the beginning at the headquarters in Attendorn was very valuable for me. Not only did I get a good insight into all areas, but I was also able to establish personal contacts with colleagues.

After finishing polytechnic secondary school, I started a technical vocational training as a maintenance mechanic; at the same time, I took my A-levels. I then graduated from the Technical University of Dresden with a degree in mechanical engineering.

As plant manager, it is important for me to be on the road and present in the plant every day. This is the only way to keep an overview, to know the current challenges and to be close to and trust the employees. Bringing colleagues from the different departments together, integrating them into the processes and procedures and delegating responsibility are some of my most important tasks.

What I really appreciate about aquatherm is the familiar and personal interaction with each other and the independence of the medium-sized and owner-managed company. Furthermore, comprehensive sustainability is an important pillar of our daily work.
