Polypropylene (PP-R) reduces our carbon footprint on the planet: For example, the manufacture of a PP cooling water system in shipbuilding produces only one sixth of the harmful CO₂ emissions compared to a steel system.

Angesichts von Unsicherheiten und Preisschwankungen auf dem Stahlmarkt sind Rohre aus Polypropylen eine Alternative. Der Preis von PP-R-Rohren ist über die Jahre bemerkenswert berechenbar geblieben. Außerdem punkten sie mit einem deutlich geringeren Gewicht, einer längeren Lebensdauer und praktisch leckfreien Verbindungen bei ordnungsgemäß ausgeführter Verschweißung. Darüber hinaus verkalkt und korrodiert PP-R im Gegensatz zu Metall nicht.
