Suitable refrigeration solutions

Whether you want to bring a server room to a normal temperature or refrigerate food, beverages or pharmaceuticals – we will work with you to find a suitable solution for the piping of the refrigerant circuits in refrigeration systems. Our aquatherm blue pipe made of corrosion-resistant and diffusion-tight polypropylene is a specialist for the transport of cooling media in closed systems and is therefore particularly suitable for various applications. In the pre-insulated version for underground installation, it is ideally suited for transporting cooling water over longer distances. Thanks to the aquatherm prefabrication, manifolds and special components can be shipped ready for installation to any place in the world.

Free cooling

Common problem with open recooling circuits:

  • strong corrosion due to strong oxygen enrichment in the cooling water
  • severe corrosion due to chemical additives in the cooling water

Compression chillers for industrial refrigeration

Common problem with compression chillers:

  • increasing incrustation of steel pipes
  • therefore increased energy consumption and costs

Compression chillers for comfort cooling

Common problem with open recooling circuits:

  • strong corrosion due to strong oxygen enrichment in the cooling water
  • severe corrosion due to chemical additives in the cooling water

Product advantages

aquatherm blue pipe

  • high chemical resistance
  • no corrosion
  • absolute tightness over the entire service life due to fully welded system
  • no dissolving of sealing rings or glued joints
  • high volume flow rates due to dimensions up to DN 500
  • low system pressures (10 bar) make the use of fibre-reinforced polypropylene pipe possible
  • lower thermal expansion than conventional plastics (only 0.035 mm/mK)
  • more durable than steel and less expensive than stainless steel
  • environmentally friendly because recyclable
  • more favourable CO2 balance than steel or stainless steel in production

Product advantages

aquatherm blue pipe TI

  • low linear expansion
  • high chemical resistance
  • corrosion resistant
  • very good welding properties
  • no dissolving of sealing rings or glued joints
  • high impact resistance
  • low weight
  • self-compensating
  • high intrinsic insulation value
  • more durable than steel and less expensive than stainless steel
  • lower CO2 footprint in production than steel or stainless steel
  • Delivery pipe up to DN 300

PROCESSING

aquatherm pipes and fitting are connected by heat fusion. In the process, the plastic fuses into a homogeneous, cohesive unit. Double material thickness at the connection point – this means double safety at the otherwise critical point of a piping system. With the fusion technique of aquatherm you quickly create a permanently tight connection!

Depending on the dimension, pipes and fittings are joined by the heating element socket welding process, the butt welding process or the electro socket welding process.
