On the way to a “green” future
Burning fossil fuels harms the environment – with devastating effects on the climate. That is why the expansion of renewable energies has high priority worldwide. We offer solutions for a wide range of applications in the field of renewable energies and support you on your way to a “green” future.
Our corrosion resistant piping system aquatherm blue pipe withstands even the highest loads. Used, for example, as cooling piping in the offshore wind industry, it ensures the smooth operation of wind turbines for decades. This is ensured by our non-detachable connections, which are achieved by the material-locking welding of the polypropylene material, and the very good vibration absorption of the product, even in rough conditions on the seas. Even an aggressive medium such as seawater, which is used for cooling in offshore plants, has no negative effects on our piping system.
aquatherm bluepipe also shows its advantages in the field of geothermal energy: Thanks to its safe and 100 percent tight connection type, it fulfils the safety requirements for a pipe system laid underground and is therefore ideally suited for the use of geothermal energy for heating water generation or air conditioning technology. For areas, where a probe drilling is legally or technically not possible, our aquatherm black system is used as a specially manufactured register for this area of requirements: Used as a near-surface geothermal heat collector, the direct and indirect solar radiation stored in the ground is used thanks to the pipe system. The register design enables an almost doubled transfer surface compared to conventional collector systems and thus a much faster and more gentle heat exchange.
In connection with solar absorbers aquatherm bluepipe is suitable among other things as a pool heating system. We will be happy to advise you!
aquatherm blue pipe
high compressive strength
absolutely corrosion resistant
Resistance to chemicals
lower weight than metallic materials
thinner insulation required compared to metallic pipes
aquatherm pipes and fittings are connected by welding. In the process, the plastic fuses into a homogeneous, cohesive unit. Double material thickness at the connection point – this means double safety at the otherwise critical point of a piping system. With the fusion technique of aquatherm you quickly create a permanently tight connection!
Depending on the dimension, pipes and fittings are joined by the heating element socket welding process, the butt welding process or the electro socket welding process.
