Stefan – Head of Injection Moulding

From apprentice to head of department – that sums up my career at aquatherm in a few words. It was clear to me that I wanted to do something technical in industry after school. So on 1 August 1996 I started my training at aquatherm as a plastics moulder (today: process mechanic for plastics/rubber).

After an interruption due to civilian service, I returned to aquatherm and first worked as a shift supervisor in our injection moulding department in a 3-shift system before switching to the day shift. In addition, I trained part-time from 2012 to 2014 at the SIHK in Hagen to become a master craftsman in plastics and rubber. Part-time training is challenging, but the diligence has paid off. In February 2013, I was appointed deputy head of injection moulding and since May 2016, I have now been fully in charge of the department. My main activities include personnel planning and development (keyword training), the creation of shift and work schedules, the optimisation of departmental processes and the expansion of the machine park. At aquatherm I was offered the chance to develop myself further. And I have made consistent use of it.
