“Recrutainment” instead of recruitin
At aquatherm, potential trainees can explore the company virtually with fun and games – test their knowledge with a quiz
In order to be able to continue to train skilled workers from our own ranks, we are taking a new approach: we want to pick up our future trainees where they are often on the move – on their smartphone or tablet – and are relying on “Recrutainment” instead of classic recruiting.
The applicants go on a virtual 360° tour of the company and explore, for example, the production, logistics or maintenance of the world’s leading manufacturer of piping systems made of polypropylene plastic. At selected points, additional information is provided in the form of short texts, pictures and videos, as well as interviews with current trainees and trainers. The applicants discover aquatherm bit by bit, like in a strategy game, and thus collect facts about the training positions on offer.
“We offer potential trainees the opportunity to explore our company virtually but at the same time realistically and to discover our professions in a playful way,” explains aquatherm training manager Denise Niedzwiecki. “In the battle for the best minds, we want to stand out and give young people an innovative impression of us as an employer and training company.”
The virtual 360°-tour can be experienced at Karriere>Ausbildung The offer works without additional equipment such as VR glasses and is purely browser-based, without an app.
