Intro

"I want a solution that will work smoothly for many decades": A clearly formulated, absolutely decades": A clearly formulated, absolutely understandable wish - and yet not always easy to implement, at least in the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology.

The reasons for this vary, but the biggest enemy is always: corrosion. Steel pipes used in air conditioning systems, for example, are particularly susceptible to corrosion on the outside of the pipe. Condensation that forms between the pipes and the insulation inevitably attacks and breaks down the pipe surface. In heating systems, on the other hand, corrosion inside the pipes is a problem. It leads to pressure losses which is why the pumps used have to work harder to compensate for it. This results in higher energy consumption.

With aquatherm blue you don't have to worry about corrosion  damages on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems anymore, because the system is made of corrosion resistant polypropylene. Damage such as deposits, pitting and leaks, which can shorten the service life, do not occur. Added to this are the thermal insulation properties due to the low thermal conductivity coefficient (0.15 W/mK) of aquatherm blue and its sound insulation properties. These reduce the need for additional thermal and cold insulation compared to metal pipes and the need for insulation against condensation. The low weight facilitates and speeds up the installation (comparative LCA: 100 ft of pipe weighs: aquatherm blue: 7.44 kg; copper pipe: 13.5 kg; steel pipe: 48 kg). All these advantages make aquatherm blue the perfect choice for heating and cooling systems, from commercial buildings to single-family homes.
